Took the dog for a walk down on Seacliff beach to Brighton this morning and was admiring a nice white Jackaroo with an Exploroz sticker in the Seacliff carpark before we left.
Later on, near the Brighton Jetty we watched a boat being towed into shore and didn't think much about it, other than it was a long way from any boat ramp.

On the way back we were surprised to see the Jack making it's way along the beach with a boat trailer on behind, on it's way to pick up the boat.

Ok ... own up .... who was it ???

Don't know who it was but cars are allowed on the beach at Seacliff to launch and retrieve boats. I saw lots of boats out there today as I drove down cement hill. it was an impressive sight.

Ok - you got me Disco - some linkage thingy broke off inside the cover on the 30 Evinrude - tried various work-rounds couldn't start it for any money - radio'd for a tow but got one from a passer-by - should have stayed in bed - a wave dumped water in the boat at launch, the transponder mount for the echo broke off, the motor conks out and the gold fish at home "passes on". The Jack of course provided faultless service in the exercise :o-)

Gees Darian,

Hard luck.

I've always said a bad day fishing beats a good day working - you might have me this time though.

There's an exception to every rule.

Catch you on air in a week or so. Heading to Lake Gairdner for Speed Week and on to Googs.

Hope the boat's better soon.

Dave,

How'd you go for permission for taking the track across to Lake Everard Station from Goog's Lakes?

Geoff.

Haven't rung yet. Still finalising plans and don't want to bother them unneccessarily.
