Hi,
I have just read about a Coleman
camp oven that goes ontop of the gas cooker. It is a cube shape box that folds down flat when not in use. You use it to bake in. Has anyone used one? Are the any good for when we are in fire ban areas?

Ellen, yes they are a very useful oven. Had one years ago, loaned it to a "friend" and it never made it
home. So am also on the
lookout for another but dont seem to be very plentyful. They do come up on eBay, usually in the US though.
If you locate one I reckon you will be very happy with the cooking results you obtain.
As to the fireban situation, this to me always seems to be far more subjective than objective. I believe one has to be aware of fire risk all year round.

You can get them at Ray's, but $70 for a glorified tin can is a bit tasty I reckon.

See if you can get wolfie to post his link to his
bedourie modifications - you get a gas fired
camp oven and still have the
bedourie to use the conventional way.
