100 000 years to create, half an hour to destroy.

Absolute Morons.
When caught should be made to perform about 4 trillion hours of community service

They r just a bunch of useless idiotic people who have no respect or regard for themselves or the environment around them. Someone needs to get these people and smash a few bones in their body or something to show how stupid they were or something.

Somebody should have got to them many years ago.... called parents. Respect is something you learn from your parents.....if they don't have any how can the kids get respect for anything.
That is absolutly discusting.

Hi Reiner,

I wouldn't be too quick to blame the parents as I have seen some people go off the rails despite receiving a good upbringing and being fully aware of good values etc.

IMHO I think blaming the parents is becoming an easy way out to answer a lot of youth related problems and while I accept that it is at times I do not accept that it is the only cause.

The senseless destruction however is bloody ridiculous and mindless.

Have a good one.

I wonder if there is some pay-back, political or commercial motivation because they were organised, knew the caves well and prioritised their choice of targets.

Sounds more like a premeditated grudge than a random act of vandalism.

Agree with you Ev700.

This was not the work of your average mindless f...wit. These people knew what they were doing and had a certain amount of skill and probably specialized equipment.

They are far more dangerous than your 'garden' variety vandal.

When caught more than likely get slap on the hand because they were in a drug induced frenzy or had a bad child hood.
You wonder what makes people do things.

All the best

Mindless morons require no motivation. I was in Cathedral Gorge in the Bungle Bungle last year.
Nice walk in (but steps put in to make it easier), saw a couple of snakes, pleasant place and very quiet.
But when I got to the end there were noisey oafs chucking their fag butts and rocks into the pool which totally spoilt the atmosphere in this magnificent place.
The tour bus operators were sitting outside smoking and just shrugged their shoulders when I told them.
Silly me I thought they may gently chastise the idiots!
Alan.
