Am planning to cross snowy at jacksons crossing in a few weeks, will come in from murrindal (i think spelling is correct), cross and head for the deddick trail. I am told that if you approach jacksons this way the is no private property issues, also would like to know campimg at crossing and how hard it is. thanks

I haven't done the crossing in a vehicle but I have walked most of it :)

If you can find the track from the west side I don't think you'll have any issues with the water crossing - it was only a foot or two deep when I was the last year, it's probably less now. A very solid stoney base - but wide.

The Deddick is a good drive - enjoy.

Hi Wayne,

There's a very good campsite near there called 'Hicks'. You'll see it on the map. The crossing itself is wide but veru easy. A good pair of polaroid sunglasses will help you see the bottom to pick your line. Allow yourself a full day to properly enjoy the Deddick Trail. It's a great drive.Have fun!
