We have a 50 lt Waeco which has bewen great for about 18 months but now when we are using it as a drinks fridge while its out of the Prado and the lights which indicate cooling level keep dropping from the setting of 3 (preferred) to 1. When it gets reset sometimes they go up to 4,5, or 6. This is when it is on the 240 volt adaptor. I can't get it into the car to try on 12volt at the moment but I reckon it will still have the same problems. Any suggestions (nice ones)???

Have you checked whether the temperature is stable or does it vary with the changes in the indicator lights?

Hi 515

I have had the same problem. Easily resolved by undoing the two screws that hold the panel on, and then loosening the screws that hold the bracket that holds the switches under the panel. Then move the switches around too align properly with the top panel (It is obvious once you take it apart). This fixed mine. After you get it aligned right the switches have a nice definite feel to them, which my temp one did not have before I did this.

Cheers

Mickey

Had a similiar problem recently with the same fridge. Took it back and they replaced the panel under warranty and all is working fine now.

Yes one would expect more from Willem. I guess the Waeco spin doctors do have some influence after all.
