was out the this morning get prices for roor bars for my jack,to put 10ft tinny on
my roof. For my up coming trip around oz ,
when i strolled into ARB i was advised against this because this causes stress fractures in the pillars in the jackeroo.
So when i posed this dilema to CARRYBOY just around the corner they told that this was B.S he showed me all sorts of photos of 4wd s with a boat on though i did n;t see a jackeroo.
then went to a third shop and was given a not reassuring shrug of the shoulders
buy this stage totally confused????
would be to apprecitive from any other jack owners or people in the know.
P.S have read the owner hand book it states the load should exceed 50 kg
which at a guess would be very close to weight of my boat ?

Can't say for sure but they could be right - I just have the low profile Rola Racks on my Jack to carry a ladder etc - light duty - the roof racks mounting arrangements on the Jack look too light duty for a boat situation in IMO. At best, it would need to be a light boat I reckon.
