Hi all,
I am thinking about purchasing the TX4400 which has the speaker at the front of the unit. Can anyone please tell me what the quality of the sound is like or do you still require an extension speaker?
Thanks in advance..........Leroy

Leroy,
I have one of these unit installed in the centre console and the sound quality is very good. No need for extension speaker.

I have one of these also.
Mine is mounted in my 80 series, roof console along the front of the windscreen. So it is basically right above my head. I find I works
well and sounds fine

A good place to get them from is Prestige Communications in

I will echo all the previous posts. TX4400 is a damn good unit. I've am on my second. Bought the first one not long after the release of the model, but have just recently upgraded to the later and programmable version of the unit (purchased through Prestige). Prices are best going around and that includes the $5 overnight freight. Was most impressed when the day after ordering, I had the unit on my doorstep at work here in lovely Bankstown at 8am.
