tips for fitting new suspension???

just after any little tips and tricks all you wise old folks (and some not so old) might have found to make my job easier when i fit my 2" lift this week?
is there any little hazards i should look out for? it's a GU i'm fitting it to.

Just one. Wear a pair of sunnies when you're underneath the vehicle so that the crud doesn't get in your eyes :))
Also, have a second pair of hands to swing on the wheel if replacing springs.

It was for a 80 series but the same will apply to a GU

When you jack up the vehicle put some blocks of wood under the axle stands to get it as high as you can.This will enable you to lower the suspension as far as possible and the springs will almost fall out by themselves.Don't forget to check the brake lines and diff breathers, you may have to loosen them to give some slack.

And you will need to extend the rear sway bar.
