Hey Davoe, or anyone with local knowledge, do you have any idea of the state of the Lake King - Norseman road at present, or more particularly (with the aid of a crystal ball :-)) what will it be like in 3 weeks.
I know Lake Grace is still flooded but just wondering what the road further east is / will be like.
We will be travelling with a LC towing a Coromal 5.05 Offroad Seka.

Regards

Thanks Maroni,

That is good to hear that it is passable, I have travelled that way (from Bunbury) a couple times over the past 5 years, & it really is a milage saver.

If you don't mind I will ask again in a couple weeks as we get closer to departure time.

Regards

Last I heard of it, Lake grace was still flooded but lake King had run out of water and needed water carts to keep the town going. I am told the road is driveable by 2wd, and have noticed a few crews of graders around the Norsey area- by 3 weeks it may be a near new surface.

Sounds good Ben, provided cyclone 'EMMA' currently in the Northwest doesn't do its thing over the wheatbelt during the next week.

yeah... I reckon things would have changed again by now. Its bucketing down hasnt stopped raining here since midnight. Kal last night copped 50mm in 5 hours, I reckon here in Norseman it is higher still.
I noticed a Lake grace phone number on the bottom of the MRD web page below- may be worth calling them tomorrow arvo after the rain stops.
