I read the article and all I kept seeing was - more things that can break and leave you stranded! Since Landy's are renown for annoying things breaking for seemingly no reason at all, I wouldn't touch anything like that with a 10 foot pole!
Just my 2c tho'!

wouldn't want be on one of those Hybrids if you got it flooded woth water in a
river crossing....150-200V DC and salty/brackish water would not be a very pleasant experience.
