Hi all, does anyone know where or if there are mounting points in a Landcruiser FJ62 for a baby capsule? Thanks in advance

May not be any.
Child Restraint Points weren't mandatory in 4wds until 1990.
The Cruisers normally have them on the floor behind the seats , or above the rear door.
IMO, the best thing to do is go and see an Authorised fitting station. They will look for nothing , and tell you what to do , if you dont have them.

Ian,
In that vehicle you will have to get a C.R.A.B. It is a steel tube bar that is fixed to the side panels in the cargo area. It takes up a bit of room but the baby will be safe.
Go to the RTA web site for the nearest
Seat Belts & Child Restraint fitting station.

According to the owners hanbook for a 86 HJ61, there is a child restraint
anchorage point just behind the head restraint on the rear seats. It states in the handbook
'Child restraint
anchorage ( Australia)' , so I guess it complies with ADR.

Thanks all that replied. My wife must be right when she says I dont look hard enough for things, The mount is behind the rear seats, I put the bolt in and junior is now ready for his first 4wd adventure.
