Mildew in a Howling Moon

Hi,is there a way to get mildew out of canvas it is not real bad only in a few areas the cover leaking while in Dawin,they replaced the mattress and will replaced the top if I pay 500.00 plus the freight.Regard Bat.

I can recommend something that definatley works, it's called Mildew Cleaner & Stain Remover by Rule/Sudbury.

The above works great on canvas even coloured canvas, we did a complete camper trailer that was extremely bad/covered in mildew and it removed every trace of it. Just make sure you read the directions and you can't go wrong.

Another thing to try is Lanolin spray.....takes off mildew from the bathroom roof no probs...most bearing places sell it

Hi Bat,
I diluted Pine-Clean or Detol with water. Set up the tent and brush it all over, inside and out, then let sit and dry. Best to let the tent stand for a few days. Check and repeat if necessary.
Worked for me.

Yep did mine the same way...still smells musky when I first put it up...many times later

my swag has mildew instructions I am not at home but i am sure it says just brush it off and for more intrusive attacks use dilute bleach and I think it mentions resealing the canvas if a fairly large area is treated
