From the dusty old camping area/caravan park up near the Post Office.
Rooms at the Pub (and a cooked brekky!)
The Underground Motel with pool
Also PJ's very classy Underground B&B

And while your there, pop down to the cricket ground named after my dear old grandad...

Have also stayed at PJ's. Great accomodation. If you stay there, book the evening meal. Mrs PJ does the cooking and it is superb. Not cheap but you need to spoil yourself now and then.

The caravan park is where I stayed.

Got there about 4pm.

No shade except undercover sites.

Saw site with witches hats around it obviously reserved for someone. So moved witches hats to another site and set up camp. Had to repair some punctures as well. Cooked T and had a few coldies.

After dark bloke comes to collect $8 fee and says.............

"This site is reserved"

Que?

"This site is reserved"

"For whom? I am the only one here"

"Well its reserved for a late traveller"

"Where is the reserved sign?"

"The witches hats, mate"

"Yes I see them over there"

"No they were here"

"No they weren't"

"Yes they were"

"Dunno mate, that pet skippy must've moved them then"

Lady assistant writing the receipt is now almost falling over with held in laughter.

"Well you want me to move then? Anyway, whats so special about this site?"

"It has shade"

"But its after dark now! Here's your $8"

"Yeah well, OK....mebbe that bloke isn't coming....I still think you moved the hats"

"Yeah well....you gotta wear a hat out here mate or the sun will get to you...."

"Yearrrh..............."

She hands me a receipt and they stumble off into the dark

Yep.. The underground motel is hard to beat. We've stayed there about ½ doz times and reckon it's worth the trip to White Cliffs just to do that alone... but I should mention that White Cliffs has heaps more to offer as well.
If you do stay there be sure to climb the big staircase and watch the sunset as you will be on the highest point for just about as far as you can see. Magic!
The tucker is good too.
For fuel, go to the servo that's on the corner opposite the pub. Last time we were there it was more than 10¢ cheaper than the servo down the road.
Not sure what direction you're heading, but if it's west, don't miss Mutawintdji NP. Stay at least 2 nights and be sure to take the tour to the rock carvings.
Why? ... Why not?

All the accommodation has been mentioned, and SAFF fuel available at the corner store and also a Shell up the road. It's about 1.38 diesel at the moment, not sure about petrol.
Not too much choice for supplies of food but some meatpaks and usual small country store choices. You won't need a shopping trolly though.
There is even a swimming pool there. You will find some more info here.
