Kinda off-topic...

Was poking around on the web looking for information on the moves by PETA to start targeting recreational fishing in Victoria with their "Fishing Hurts" campaign as animal cruelty (fortunately Bob Cameron, Minister for Agriculture has told them to sod off!), when I found this rather disturbing website. It contains some graphic images with were rather distressing to me as a dog owner.

PETAkillsanimals

Anyone who's got any PETA-supporters in the family, expecially kids who PETA are fond of targeting with their campaigns (get 'em young?) should have a read. Keep an open mind in doing so - I guess people on both sides have their own agendas.

It is really easy to shut soeone up that says fishing hurts fish. All you do is get a peice of string with a hook in it and prickit into their finger and pull on it. They will walk towards you as you pull yelling ahhh.
A fish on the other hand pulls the other way---- The harder the better Yeeeee ha

If God didnt mean us to Eat Cows they wouldnt be made of meat

Definitely off topic but it jogged my memory of an upcoming annual event detailed below.....
NickR

Hi everyone

MARCH 15th is EAT AN ANIMAL FOR PETA DAY

This day was started in America by an ANTI-PETA organisation last year and
was very successful.

This year it would be great if Australia could get in on this Anti Peta
campaign and send a very clear message to these freaks that there is no way
everyday australian will give up the taste of a succulent T-Bone, a coffee
milk, or the warmth of a woolen jumper.

How do i participate?

Its simple, all you have to do on March 15th is chomp down and extra piece
of beef, lamb, pork, fish etc. If you dont want to do that you could buy
yourself a nice product made from 100% australian wool. If you have enough
wool products buy a blanket and send it to an organization for people in
need.

Easy

Now to make this day a true success it is paramount that you send this
message to everyone in your mailing list. This message will not get out
there unless you do this.

PLEASE FORWARD TO EVERYONE IN YOUR MAILING LIST AND LET THE FLAVOURS OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS BE ENJOYED BY THE CARNIVORE WITHIN.
