Hi All
Can anybody help with the location of an offending switch that replease the auto shift stick when it is in park.
I know that you have to press the brake but it seem that the locking mechanism does not always release and somtimes you can hear the switch operating but cannot get the shift to move
if anybody can point me to the offending gadget and its repair or replacement.
regards

Hi Roger,
And you thought no one would answer!!!
I believe that the switch is actually a solonoid and runs from a cable to underneath the trans levers where you change gears. I am told that if you lift up the covers you will see a
bright coloured switch (either
orange or red) and that will be the one. I am also led to believe that the information is in your owners handbook as it is a legal requirement to provide that info.
Best luck looking and if if no good I will try and get a
pic for you.
