No I haven't been watching the Oscars.
Can anyone point me to a camping/disposal type place on the net that sells the sort of bags that one could pack a decent sized tent into ? I've found that wet tents and sleeping bags are a pain to roll up and stow. They are invariably packed into a tiny stretch bag that needs the skills of an escape artist to repack.
I'm thinking sports carry bags etc except a bit bigger. Ex army duffle bags ?
Cheers

Not sure how big the tent etc is that you want to pack up, nor for how long. But I'm assuming just for a short period until you can get them dried out, otherwise they're going to stink pretty quickly & get mouldy.

Green garbage bags are cheap, don't take up any space, light, and drop in the bin when your finished.
Just a simple thought to a simple problem.

Thanks Cocka. Unfortunately, even though I usually travel by myself I love my comforts (old fella:). The tent sleeps about 5, so its not small enough for those bags. Now you might ask why don't I use a smaller tent ? The answer lies in extended stays (not by design) in the tropics, and in wet weather. Plus getting in and out of a 3 man tent is Ok when you're 20..or 40..but unfortunately *sigh*

This might sound crazy , but go to a dive shop. They sell use sport's type bags to carry all our scuba gear , they would fit your tent withought a issue

What about those black plastic wheely bin liners? One from each end should ensure the moisture stay inside.

Not a bad idea actually. I wonder how convenient it would end up being ?
