I noticed that the
Cairns to Coooktown road (inland) is now bitumen all the way. It was officially opened the other day.

That was the same day the Little Annan and Macleod Rivers flooded and cut off the new all weather sealed road ;-) Cheers Rob

Does this mean the end of
Cooktown as we know it? I know lots of the locals reckon it would spoil the place and make it into a resort town like
Port Douglas. Lets hope not.
