evening all
well this year is looking to be a bit different no van and starting in july
although we had hoped to finish in merimbula (we have a travel auction voucher)we now are looking at starting there mid july 5 nights from there an interesting trip across Browns mt and onwards to wagga wagga and hay from hay to white cliffs to tibooburra to dig tree to innamincka to birdsville across the simpson east to west not sure if we will see mt dare or straight down to oodnadatta and then south
a great dependence on weather cooperation or bits will have to get the snip
question is how dangerous is browns mt at this time of the year ?????

Brown Mtn should be no worse than Clyde Mtn, or Bulli or Macquarie Passes. But camping in outback NSW in July is going to be a little chilly.

In July there can be snow falls on the Brown Mtn and Snowy Mtns Hwy, best to check with Cooma Visitors Ctr prior to travell.

Steve,

I used to travel up Browns Mtn every month for many years . Only once was there ever a problem for me and that was caused by snow . The 2 WD cars and semi trailers could not get traction up the hills in the snow and had blocked the road .

I was in a 4WD and got through easilly .

There will be NO PROBLEM for you .

Cheers ,

Willie
