Hi there was looking at a 2000 hilux dual cab and was curious about a couple of things
Does this model come with rear LSD, as was thinking about putting diff lock on the front, maby?
Wheels and tyres, Was thinking the standard rims with a set of cooper dicovery?
Any help would be great
Cheers

Yep it has a LSD in it and by now it most likely dosnt work,Toyota's have poor LSD's in them.Me I'd put the locker in the front still. If you got free wheeling hubs a auto locker would do,if not I'd go a air locker(ARB)

Dead right - mine's close to useless (ditto our Troopy). I've heard they can be tightened up? My husband's Nissan Patrol's LSD works wonderfully.

Only
too easy. Find a steep dirt
hill. Stop and engage first gear With someone watching the rear wheels see if one or both spin when you take off.
If one wheel (only) spins, the LSD is not working properly. Ideally, both should spin equally - or neither should spin at all.
If neither wheels spin, either take off a bit harder - or find a steeper
hill.
This is just my woman's way of testing it - but it gives a good idea of whether the LSD is going to be effective when you actually need it.
If you need to do this by yourselve you can get a good idea by going back and look at the tyre marks. If one wheel span it will have made a bit of a rut.
