G'day All

Took the jack to a new mechanic last week, had a few minor probs and was due for a service. Well I had actually ceased the air con compressor and nearly melted the fan belt up in the high country.

What I am wrapped about is the care and attention this mechanic took with the Jack, the car was checked over and not just serviced, little things like the battery was checked, the water in the windscreen wipers was topped up, they found a broken wire on a light and fixed it and the list goes on. I have a KN air filter and since its installation, this is the only mechanic that has serviced it during a service.

Everything was excellent, and the bill was way less than expected (Air con Compressors genuine are not cheap lol). Could not say enough good things about this experience, Ask Mr AL he sat and listened to me rave on during a 2 hour drive yesterday.

This is just a feel good post, not linked to this mechanic at all but was bloody impressed

Isn't it a great feeling when you get what you pay for, and it's done well. Celebrate, it doesn't happen often :((

All those little things used to be and should still be standard procedure on any service, right down to checking the air in the spare tyre. Any mechanic who dosent do it is not doing his job properly. Its the little things like checking the condition of the belts etc can prevent major breakdown in the future. Nav.

Perhaps you should go back to the workshop, kidnap him, and lock him up in your garage. Good mechanics are hard to find.
LOL
