simple
in my trip in may we'll be visiting the
innamincka regional reserve and i want to know whether i need a pass for the reserve and if so do i need to pre purchase it.
thanks for the help guys.
its my first trip out that way so i don't know much.

I hate paying $100 for a Desert Parks Pass when I might be going to
Innamincka only, once in 2 years or so. That fee gets you a lot but you have to be retired to get your value, by touring around to the parks.
Innamincka and
Coongie lakes are great - been there quite a few times but in a region scattered with oil rigs and co-occupied with roaming cattle (and a feral pig or three) $100 is a b*^%#@y rip-off for a couple of days. I have known people to
camp on the common, and go out daily to inspect other sites that they could move to IF suitable.....you might think I'm recommending that but I couldn't possibly comment further.

Mate,
Consider what is done with the money raised from
the Desert Parks Passes and the funding it provides for remote area improvements. And, as
well as the pass itself, you get a pretty decent set of Desert Country maps and a booklet which I found quite informative.
I have no problem in forking out money for this pass.
Oh! and having seen for myself the
Camping area along the Town Common, I would much, much, sooner drive the 14 kilometres (even over some ordinary sections of track, to get away from the Common and experience the solitude of
Cullyamurra Waterhole.
But then again, that's just me.
