"Went to a Caltex/Woolworths servo on the weekend to fill up with some diesel, and noticed a tag on the nozzle.." new Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel" . 50ppm of sulphur instead of 500ppm. (New national fuel guality standard) Good for the environment and cleaner running engine?

Sounds good for the 3.0l patrols that prefer the lower sulfer content. Does this now mean all Caltex service stations have the 50ppm fuel also?

Leroy,
According to their website, they are in the process of upgrading their refinery and should have it available at all servos by the end of the year.

I may have it wrong, but the word on the street is that Caltex have some problems with meeting the new Sulphur standards that are to apply to all diesel in Australia because of refinery problems. Sounds like they are putting a positive spin on it by offering some fuel specifically tagged as low sulphur.

Probably didn't come from a Caltex Refinery.

Local state Refinery supply.

There was a thread not long ago from Wayne who works in the bomb shelter at the Kurnell refinery where the diesel is made...

search is your friend.
