Hello wealth of knowledge. I am just entering into the 4WD market and having read other threads on this site decided to get a 2nd hand Hilux dula cab. I have noticed that there are hiluxs made in Thailand and Japan. Can anyone comment on the differences in quality.

Both are made in a Toyota factory to the same levels of quality, put the country of manufacture out of your head when it comes to Toyota. Thailand or Japan doesn't matter, you still get "OH Whata Feeling..!"

The same applies for most manufacturers these days, part of globalisation.
Even the hilux made in japan had most components coming from other parts of the world.
Toyota announced their blobal vision with the Prado and became a full reality with the hilux.
Nissan does the same with plants in Spain, Jeep with plants in Austria etc etc.
The Mini has components from several hundred countries in the world.

Wouldn't be concerned in the slightest . . . doubt you could tell.
Its not as though they only recently started building cars . . . in fact . . . they are probably better put together then the Aussie Made vehicles.
