Has anyone fitted (or heard of someone who has fitted) the front passenger seat from a std 100 series into a GXL 100 series.
My wife recently had twins now we have four children, when using the third row seats there is no room for any gear let alone the storage system that took me about 2 weeks worth of evenings and weekends to build. So seating for 6 in the front two rows would be great.
I realise most would be wanting to swap seats the other way around, any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Guedo,

I swapped my 80 series triple front seats for two buckets (original drivers to passengers and new drivers seat). The bolt holes alligned perfectly so i couldn't see any mechanical reason why you couldn't do that.

But legally you need an engineering certificate. I got this with my new front seat install and you would need to do this to retro fit 3 front seats. If you don't, you won't have insurance, never mind the peace of mind knowing the wife and kid are in a seat with proper belts.

Cheers

Captain

I'll swap you my 3/4 seat for your bucket seat and centre console if you are interested (Brisbane) all the holes line up it won't be a problem. You will just have to get a rubber boot to cover the base of the gearstick.
