Hi Guys,
Can anyone please shed some light on the tracks around Mts Beerwah. I was there last weekend and looks like a lot of fun.
I was after some more info on the tracks, camping etc......

G'Day Lux,
There are plenty of tracks around Mt Beerwah - a lot of them are real easy - some are near impassable (unless you're driving a tractor of a fourby!). I think it's all NP or
state forest so a permit to traverse should be obtained before you go in there just to cover yourself and have fun. If you want a real challenge - try to get onto the power line tracks - some of them are pretty full on! As a minimum, 2 vehicles with decent clearance,
winches and lockers for some of them.
As for camping - I live close by so I don't
camp there but I'd say the closest camping would be Coochin Creek on the eastern side of Bruce HWY. Nice spot. You can fish there but take the aeroguard.
Check out Naturally QLD's website for details on the permit to traverse (free i think) and camping at Coochin Ck.
Cheers
Scoey.
