Hi All
Is there any way i can submit a post by printing it up off line and then connect and send it. The reason i ask is because i use a MiniMax and am only allowed 20hrs. a Month on my plan.Once the 20Hrs are used it becomes a bit expensive for us poor old pensioners Ha Ha!!
Any advice appreciated, DUKE

Hi Duke,
You coluld try typing out what you want to say on a WORD DOCUMENT or similar and when ready, then connect to internet and "Copy & Paste" your document to the internet. Replies etc are someting you will then have to deal with later.
It's a hassal that way Duke. but at least you can answer replies at your pace, even if you have to reply a little later when you log on again.
Regards, On Patrol.

Yes Word and copy and paste as mentioned above.
What does your 20 hours cost you? I have been on the 'normal' rate $24.95 a month for years on dial-up with unlimited time but only 4 hour sessions. My ISP also privides an excellent Firewall against spam and viruses.
Cheers

Hi Willem,
My 20Hrs a Month cost $49-00 a Mth.and that includes paying for the Modem which i think from memory was approx $500-00 if you wished to purchase it seperately and then the rate is about $22-00 For 20hrs. I find it very conveniant for travelling as it operates where-ever there is CDMA coverage. Within 20Kils of Capital Cities and quite a few smaller ones it switches to Broadband speed automaticly at no extra cost. When we are not up Nth and in our
home down here in Tassie i still don,t bother with a Dial up connection. The only downside is that you can,t stay connected on the net too long as you would soon use up the free hours and then it becomes a bit expensive.

Duke,
Simply write your Post contents in a Word document at your leisure. You can use the built-in spell checker to correct all those annoying mis-types and mis-spelt words and phrases.
When you are ready to create a new Post in ExplorOz, open your word document you have created, select all the text and right click to copy this text into memory.
Log in to ExplorOz and select New Thread in the normal way, entering an appropriate Topic heading, etc.
In the blank window, position your cursor towards the left top of the window (left click) and then right click to paste the contents from memory into the window. Finally, click on Submit Post to send and save your new Thread.
This procedure can also be used to reply to an existing Post, if you wish to spend some time in constructing or researching your reply.
The left click / right click is any easier way to cut & paste within Windows. If you prefer you can also do the same thing by left clicking on the Edit button and selecting Cut or Paste to achieve the same result.
