How do you support the roof linning on the defenders, without having to hold your head up high?

Cheers Axle.

Use several green saplings, cut to length. It's a bit primitive but it will match everything else on the Defender ;)

Hi Axle,
Sounds like the Defender has the same problem as some of the earlier Rangies had.
On my 89 Rangie I used a pressure pak fabric adhesive after easing the lining away from the door frame tops to gain access between the roof and the lining.
Followed the instructions on the can re tack time etc and used a 250mm paint roller to smooth the lining back into place. Had to be very careful not to stretch the lining too much and create wrinkles.Started from the middle of the roof and worked out to the edges.
Took about 2.5 hrs but was a reasonable job and lots cheaper than the motor trimmers quote of around $700 (from memory).

It's worth a try.
Cheers

Thanks Disco, Will have a look at that, the lining seems to stretch in them, bit of a pain.!

Had the same problem with the Defender, got hold of a stapler and stapled the lining up. Not pretty, but effective. Sold the Defender with the roof lining still stapled and not a comment about it. May have even added a bit of character! (My girls thought so anyhow)
