Hi gang!
I have a pair of 100W Nite Stalker lights on my 80 Series. They came with the truck and are wired using the genuine Nite Stalker wiring kit. The thing is that they're hardly noticable over the high beam of the 80 anyway which is dissapointing. Is there anyway they can be modified to increase brightness and range? ie change bulbs etc? Or are they just an below average light?
Cheers

Hi Scoey,
I too have Nite Stalkers on my 80 series (my friends say they are appropriate for me!!). I have
mine set at very different angles to the high beams so there is no comparison. I aim them to the left and
well up, I guess basically on the
lookout for Roos or naked hitchhikers.
I have 100 watt globes in the standard lights, so you are probably correct in that there would not be a discernable difference.
Regards,

Yeah I guess they'd be of more benefit lighting up the shoulder but I'd ratehr just get some more distance out of them. Was thinking it might be a bit hopeful!

I have the rectangular Nite Stalkers on my 62 Series for last 2 years & think their great for price. I tossed the Nite Stalker wiring kit over my shoulder & didnt bother to see where it landed..
4mm twin core flex wire from each light to a quality Nagares 12v 100 amp relay ($30) & freshly drilled & cleaned earth, then 6mm from reserve battery positive to relay & twin core to switch & high beam, ALL joines soldered. Also tossed their bulbs & put in good quality German made100w bulbs $12 ea. So installed correctly with heavier wire & good relay made hugh difference. (Hint most d/light issuses come back to poor earth both light or relay..)
Good luck
