Put your best foot forward.... Im just about to head off camping/hiking for 10 days with kids husband and friends. What is your best recipes for me to try out. Thanks to you lot got my camp oven lovely seasoned ready to cook.

Use a trivet to keep the roast off the bottom of the oven . Cook your standard roast using no more than the time given for an oven . Remove roast and keep warm . Pour off most off the fat , and cook a damper in the juices in the camp oven . A scone recipe is OK for damper . To the recipe add oregano and rosemary . Serve with plenty of gravy .
