Coleman hot water update

Just to let anyone know what we ended up doing. Went to Rays who have the unit for $349 with bag and shower hose, and talked them around to throwing the gas hose in too. If you want the unit only then go to Kmart, but the Rays deal was hard to beat. The gas hose needed to be worked a bit lol................hopefully we will be happy campers.

You have made the right decision, they are fantastic, we had the Primus unit originally ....... no comparison!

Help--mine came with no instructions, do you need a special fitting on end of pickup to just drop it in a bucket other than the collapsible one?

No, you just drop in into a bucket. Try to get the fitting flat with "this side up" up.

We use a 40 litre rectangle shaped plastic box to pack gear in for the trip which then becomes our water storage at camp.

Jimbo, I think you only need the pump "this side up" if you use the collapsible water container.
We just drop ours in an open container with no problems.

K mart are selling the COleman for $289 at the moment in Brisbane

Yes they are mate but with no accessories. the Kmart deal works out at $289 plus baf $80 plus shower $20 plus gas hose $30..........over $400 for same deal as $349 at Rays. Like I said in my post if u just want the unit then get it from Kmart. Not just Brisbane......every state I believe.
