hey all,
as ive told ya's heaps of times we're doin the trip up the centre in aug/sept.....were going to go right up to
darwin then across from
tennant creek into qld...
we have another idea....going up as far as Alice then heading back to nsw somehow....would love to go see ruth at
birdsville and go to
cameron corner...
we've got 6 weeks and have a real plan on anything jusy lots of idea's.......
anyone got any hints on the way to go if we do this.....going to do Ood track on the way up......

We were thinking of doing a
Melbourne - Oodandatta track - Dalhousie - Alice -
Tennant Creek - Camoweel -
Winton - Ruthsville -
Innamincka -
Broken Hill -
Melbourne loop. Only have four weeks in June though. Have not been to
Darwin but is it too much on this trip already!

thats another option too...not going to
darwin....
we are going to do the cape in 2 yrs and thought we'd shoot across after doing that to
darwin and do top half of NT......

Is the Simpson an option?
Go to Alice, down to Maryvale and
Chambers Pillar overnight. Mt Dare next night. 3 nights across the Simpson. To Tennent Ck via
Bedourie and then the
Plenty Highway and the Stuart highway. Adds a stack of time to your trip and you'd have to be prepared for the Simpson.
Precious few options between Alice and
Birdsville that don't add a stack of days though.
