Has anyone got any info on high mileage 3.0litre GU's? ie What are they good for? Is the rest of the driveline (manual) as strong as the GQ?

~97,000 is the record in aust on the patrol list at the moment.....
but its had around 5-10 warranty claims....
www.offroader.com.au steve is the owner of the car... White 3.0 GU.
Driveline strength, the 5th gear has been falling over in them... if you get the air cond pulley muddy they die, and $3000 repair bill not under warranty, and a few more.....
