This is a warning and a question.

The warning part is, be very careful if someone says come wheelin with me and they have a Suzuki and you have a Patrol. They just don't fit on the same tracks sometimes, Lantana leaves great bush pinstripes on the wider vehicles.

Roofscooter, you are the first bloke to get me sinbinned after I come home from 4wheelin. I've been sidelined not for 10 mins like most people but sinbinned for 10 weeks by the missus and that was after I washed the car before I got home. HAHAHA But wasn't it FUN (worth every week). That little Zuke of yours has a heart bigger than it's tyres and I'm sure it will get you into trouble one day.

Now the Question is, is there anything I can do to reduce my sentence? In marriage is there an arbortration commission I can appeal to as I think my sentence is a bit stiff?

All this and I forgot my camera AGAIN
Regards Trevor.

Hi Trevor,

Pinstripes go with the territory - surely they can be forgiven? You bought an off-road vehicle to go off-road didn't you?

But forgetting your camera is a mortal sin.

Ciao for now
Andrew who will see you in pinstripe purgatory.

1 word.... "Flowers" mate, they love the little buggers, from experience, they will reduce your sentence, but only if you don't get them on a regular basis for her beforehand....
good luck, you're gonna need it lol.....

No worries about me overdoing it on the regular flowers thing. Last time she got flowers was probably when ????.... geez, when she was dating someone else.

Thanks for the tip.

Cook dinner, turn the tele off and sit up late with a bottle of wine and have a nice chat about whatever and atleast pretend to be interested in what she's talking about!
I bought a standard 80 series with the reasoning that it doesn't have a fancy paint job so it doesn't matter if it gets a bit scratched up. Works for me :)

I agree Flowers and a box of rose chocolates if need be. 1st mistake you washed it and those pinstripes are tropheys in the 4wd world (but try telling her that).

Congratulations, you've earned your "stripes". After early experiences a long time ago, I steer clear of narrow tracks when I can.
I've lost count of the number of people who've looked at my vehicle and said "nice car, do you take it 4wding ?" (Not these days, there are so many around). People will never ask you that now, they KNOW you're the real thing :))

I've had a few pinstripes before, nothing that a good buff wouldn't get but these are like a couple of bored teenagers have found out that 20c pieces make good marks up the side of this car, and have just gone to town.
Even the Zuke ended up with a few that's how tight one section was.

A 6000 will do it but an 8000 would be better. You will either need to a custom bar for an X-90, make a winch cradle and modify your front bumper to take it or get a reciever hitch put front and rear and have the winch portable so you can use it either end.

Gotta B a Blonde scooter cause if your using a redhead in the simpson it's too easy to misplace it whilst your cleaning up. So definately blonde easy to clean and relube after each use then tuck it away ready for next time.

Perhaps a reminder to the wife that you baught 4X4 and not a new comodore ?- Just an addition to a message left by another subscriber, I was at a tyre shop the other day getting some replacement tyres ( ripped 1 side wall out whilst 4x4ing on the weekend ) a guy come up to me and asks me do i own that 4x4 in the w/shop - i said yes with some hessitation, he then shook my hand and congradulated me for using my 4x4 for its intended purpose rather than the urban wannabe's with the shiney's that will never see dirt.

felt good after that little congradulations , untill i got the bill for 2 new tyres :)

Looks like we missed out on an All Aussie Adventure!
First diagnosis was the starter motor, but it looks like it may have just been from the battery terminals, she seems ok now with new ones on... so we'll just plod along and see how she goes...

I can understand your wifes point of view with scratches... but isn't that what we all bought 4by's for! they are trademarks of our adventures.. what's the saying..
"You've earned your stripes...."

so no one else was able to go for a stroll in the park with you both?
