Didn't get a chance to have a drive this weekend, but a friend got as far as buttons crossing yesterday with no problems in an unmodified suzuki, so access to
mambi island shouldn't be a problem next weekend. Still a fair bit of water going through the gates at the
dam, and will be for a while, so boatlaunching etc at mambi may be fun, and many campsites may be a little wet or close to where the big lizards live. Would pay to ring the shire to
check on road closures etc.
Have a good trip - I'll be homebound most of the weekend - 1yr olds birthday etc, but may escape for a look around.
