Would like to get some advice on the affects of larger sized tyres (dia) but reasonable narrower width. I currently have 31/10.5r15 and what am looking at Simex trekkers 32x9.5-15 or 32x10.5-15, both these tyres are really 33inch. Would you notice any difference in driving going up in size and narrower in width.
Also can anyone tell me from experience how noisy extreme trekkers or jungle trekkers are compared to BFG mud tyres and how they compare in the wet on road driving.
Thanks.

I don't think you are going any narrower. The Simex 9.5 actually measures about 10.5" and you will be gaining about 3" in dia. as most 31's measure about 30.5" and the Simex are morer like a 33.5".

Might stick with BFG as I do abit a on-road driving and dont want tyres that want handle wet roads. How do you think 33/9.5-15 would handle? would I notice any difference from the 31/105r15's i have at the moment?

I have used them before but they don't do that size anymore, just a 33x10.5-15 in the MT.

I know you are asking about Simex,,, but may i say that STT Coopers are like ice skating in the wet on bitumen..

Hi Hound
Run 32x9.5x16 on my jack, extreme trekkers and they are rough and noisey on the road, but fantastic off road. Feels like the 4wd is shaking apart hahaha In the wet they are not much fun on the black stuff.
