Easter.
Anyone been to Giro
State Forest off Thunderbolts way?
I am hoping to do a day trip over
Easter and was wondering what some good 4wd trails are - if any as it's only a small place. The old map I have shows Baxters ridge trail and Barakee trail - are they open? Any good camping spots?
Thanks..!

Don't know much about the 4x4 potential in the area, though you'd think there'd be some. There's a lovely camping spot in the Woko NP though. If you're heading North, it's about 30ks N of
Gloucester, up Thunderbolt's Way. It's near the
Bretti Reserve (which is a top spot on you're right, but will be busy over
Easter) but on the opposite side of the road (left) should be quieter but don't blame me if......long drops and water + bbq = woodfire, from memory.
Ranger visits and beaut little rocky river in front of your
camp. If you get no joy on here, bend the
Ranger's ear. He should know. Tel: 02 6558 1478. About 8 years since I've been there.
