Can anyone confirm any known recalls or campaigns on the Landcruiser 100 series, independent front suspension V8?? I have 'heard' there is one for lower control arms. Anyone confirm this, or others??

There is a recall for IFS L/C 100's, it refers to insufficient welding on one of the control arms. One of my mates had his L/C fixed before it broke.Cheers TT

Took delivery of new LC 100 last week and specifically queried this aspect with the service boys prior to delivery. I have a Toyota Camry as well so we get to talk at service time.
It seems that there are units with a particular Vin No which are the problem ones and the notices are being sent to just thos owners.

For what it's worth.

I got a letter from Toyota today
I have enclosed a copy, but not sure if you will be able to read it due to size contraints
I am happy to email a copy to anyone as a PDF if you email me

Interesting they are recalling the petrols.
The ones reported on the LCOOL site that failed are all diesels, mostly modified. I had mine welded when I had the lift put in 2 weeks ago. Be interesting to see if I get a recall notice.
