I know that there is a really obvious answer to this Q but where is the best spot to find all the phone numbers that we would need to travel the Ood track, West McD ranges, Plenty Hwy, Diamantina Dev road, Walkers Crossing, Bore Track (heading to cameron corner).....

Is there a web site or a link off this one that can help...or is anyone able to donate phone numbers to me.....any number that wil help espec for fuel and access roads (which would usually be the same number i spose)...

THanks a mill,

Laura B

For the Oodnadatta track the best contact is the Pink Roadhouse, Oodnadatta.. www.pinkroadhouse.com.au. They have all the information that you would need for this area.

To get you started, here are a couple of links to places on the Oodnadatta Track - we have stayed at both these places:
pinkroadhouse.com.au; williamcreekcampground.com/outback/oodtrack/williamcreek.htm
Best of luck with your travels

i eventually did that because im waitin for my electric blanket to warm up even though its on "3"!!! i just wanted the easy way out cos im tired and night time is the only chance i get to do more than 10 minutes of searching!!kids - gotta love 'em!!

wouldnt believe it i came across one of your stories doing birdsville etc in the little red beast! was reading it wondering why it all sounded familiar and all that then low and behold i look at the bit where you write the wb page in and it said ....kempen.....LOL!!!

Usually everything you will need is on the side or rear info section on Westprint & Hema Maps. If you are looking at doing these trips have a look at the maps available.

Road atlas are great if you get the right ones (eg HEMA 4wd) but the sheet maps have much more of this sort of info on them.
