Where does the aircon/heater fan live on the disco? under the glove box?
If so one of 2 things may be happening.
1 Something has fallen out of the glove box ie piece of paper or pen etc and the blades of the fan are hitting it.
2 You are yet another victim of english electrics, dont complain about it or everyone else will want one as well :)) sorry couldnt resist.
Ive had the first one happen on a number of vechicles may be worth a look, you will probably need to get the glove box door off to do this.

Yes getting the folks out of the cyclone area would be a good break, getting them out of the incessent rain theyve been haveing would also be a good thing.

Happy easter

It's always been my experience that the steering wheel is the "Male Domain" and the glove box is the "Female Domain"........

So it is with respect that I suggest that when the vibrator batteries eventually go flat, then the electronic buzzing sound will stop and you will have quiet motoring again.

Happy Bunnies Day to all

Yep it's all good...the rechargeables are really for the new digital camera, but it made for a good story while it was going....

Thanks for the wishes...we haven't played in the red sand since 2000 and have been just itching to get back there...we'll probably work in July and then we might take August off to join up with that group for the Daintree to Darwin run accross the gulf and then back to work in the motels to pay for it all......then make some plans for '07.

See ya later guys

Rick, with any luck you'll be outta that neck of the woods by the time I arrive with my dirty Cruiser early in July. I usually stay at the most northern motel in Alice, the greezy sleezy el cheapo one...they can usually rustle up a bed. I'll mention your name as by then I rekkon you'll be a legend .....especially with those batteries :))))))))

Rick, keep an ear out for me on 737 and the Travellers Net. I'm a regular during travel as I'm by myself and don't take along 100mb of doof doof moozik :))
As for the batteries..better not. Last year the place was run by some people who definately didn't have English as their first language...wouldn't want to confuse them...one guy was definately from a certain mob in northern China...and I wouldn't want to look sideways at him, believe me :))

OK on the SLEEZE INN...so when are you heading out there???? We're looking to be on the road around May 3rd or so when Julie has finshed visiting her Mum in Hervey Bay.

We're planning to spend the first week by a waterhole just un winding...can get onto a private one in Windorah...if the wter level has dropped by then. Fishing should be good though.

I have an all band dipole in the Camper for the longer stays and will around 20, 40 and 80m a bit.

Will have to download the forms and join 737.

Mate, you'll be well and truly back in harness by the time I get off, around end of June early July.
Yes the creeks have risen in the west of Qld. I can think of a few nicer places than Windorah to unwind but maybe I don't know the secret spot :) I usually spend just enough time to refuel and get a coffee there. My charity bash people tell me its a great area but .....

Oops was thinking Winton not Windorah. Windorah is the town with the railway If it rains out there you get back to town asap. Nice national park out that way.

Getting back to the buzz noise. Does it only happen when the fan is on? Does it change when you alter the air flow direction? Mine had a buzz in the dash and it turned out to be an air flow direction paddle thing in the air ducts. I found it by sticking a long screw driver down the duct and holding it against the baffle thing. Once found it was fairly simple to fix.
