Trevor R (QLD)
Hi to all the Qld'rs out there, I am hoping to get a few new faces to come and get their wheels dirty. I was hoping to make it this weekend, hopefully down at Ormeau. If you can make it and are interested please provide details of which day you prefer and if there is enough interested I will post a gathering up to confirm all the meeting time and place.
The area I have in mind is for all grades of vehicles, there is some pretty good testing grounds for those with a bit more wheel articulation but chicken routes for those that don't have the wheel articulation.
I would hope the usual suspects that turn up to this sort of thing would also be available as I really need suport for the wife to let me out on bail (after my last effort).
I promise not to take you all down the track that got me into soooo much trouble last time.
Regards to all
Trevor.

Good evening all.
Can not do next weekend. Working Saturday, grandsons christening Sunday.
After Easter at Emu Creek, I'd be pushing my luck to get anywhere for a couple of weeks. Unpacking the car now - currently the damages are 2 bent side steps (1 bad, 1 only a little), 2 bent sills, 1 destroyed wheel flare, 3 mud flaps, fuel tank with BIG dent, some major and heaps of not so big scrapes in the paint, small bend in tail light surround in rear bar. Nothing real bad, but SWMBO is not very happy. I had a good time though.
The new steel rear bar worked quite well, paid for itself in protecting the rear end.
Hope you guys have a good time.

Hi Andrew,
I'm going to send my SWMBO to your place for some tolerance conditioning. If I come home with a repair list like that I would be talking in a different tone of voice. I hope the Easter Bunny found you and you had a great time.
The rear step didn't fit (thanks anyway) so if you need to replace yours with the original you could borrow this one a mate give me hahaha.
If you need a working bee to help do some repairs give us a yell. I know Mark has good experience straightening steps out.
Regards Trevor.

We'd had a good run all weekend, until yesterday afternoon. 8 vehicles went on what was supposed to be a medium to easy run for a couple of hours about 3pm. 3 vehicles got back at 11pm, leaving all the others to be recovered in daylight. We decided we needed some clearer heads and better vision to keep going.
Navigation stuffups put us on some the extreme 'competition type' tracks and once commited it was too late to pull out. The guy leading us in (the man with the maps, and past experience at the park) isn't the most popular fella around today. Definitely double difflock and 6 inch lift type tracks. Had a good weekend anyway, but the atmosphere at home is going to be a little icy for a while.
Got a fair bit of cleaning up and unpacking to do tonight.

next one Shawsie.... we ourselves are always keen to go out, even if there are times when Trev and whoever cannot come, But off course we wouldn't go out on our own. We have some experience up our belts now but certainly haven't been doing it for years like some of you! We wouldn't mind heading out at least once a fortnight.... Hows about everyone who wants to stay on a last minute phone call list email me.
jarsofclay@optusnet.com.au
This way Trev has contacts for last minute for those whom may not get online, and we have some contacts for those who may want to drive when we do if Trev, Perry whatever cannot come. (we don't yet have children so is easier for us to be able to just up and go, a bit harder for Trev, Perry etc)
