Hi All,
After many years of poor wet seasons for the Cape I am totally surprised at the amount of wet weather that has hit the region this year. The latest TC Monica seems destined to dump further rain in the region. I am pretty sure that there were past posts suggesting some members were planning an April journey to the Cape and I can’t imagine it being dry enough to visit. So I was wondering, with this happening so late in the wet season, how many people will be delaying their visits north this year? Maybe some of the locals can provide an educated guess for planned arrivals now that April may
well be too soon.
Kind regards

We won't be having our May trip, our next trip is planned for Sept. I haven't been able to get north of
Mossman due to other committments so don't know what it is like up there at present. Rob or Eric may be better placed to comment. All I know is it is very wet up there.

Thanks David, we are planning to be up there in Sept (only 5 months to go). This trip will be different to my others up there as previous trips have been very dry. I suppose evrything will look somewhat greener even in Sept. Hopefully the fishing will be good with a decent flush.
Kind regards

Just as
well you remind us of all the features in EO. It is easy to forget how comprehensive the site information is.
Kind regards

Beatit,
This stuff is really new so I will pump it into the
forum system for a while. These live weather reports are really cool. I will be building a page with all sorts of other live weather info in the near future - this stuff all takes time. I am loading comp
places at the moment. Hey everyone starting to run out of place submissions for the comp - Please email me some more when you can.

Just wishing here David so don't take it too seriously! BUT can we have a click and drag function on that rain so we can drag it down to
Brisbane - seems about the only thing missing. Seems that very little is impossible!
Kind regards

There are a group of us planning a trip for July this year, a couple of months away, but we're watching this with great interest!

Looks to me that the Prado is right at
home in the water! Doubt if it will be an issue in July though.

G'day Sam,
Look forward to the photos. Judging by David's weather map you are looking at a bucketing as
well. BTW been to
Weipa a couple of times and I can't wait to get back - the fishing has always been fantastic. A couple of us did a charter with Pugwash last time and had a ball.
Kind regards and keep dry.
