Andrew, I had a 95 Petrol Jackaroo that I ran 235/85/16LT which were substantially taller than the original 245/70/16. I lost a little bit of speed off the mark but the improvement offroad was
well worth it. I imagine that the diesel would probably handle it. What size are you looking at upgrading to.
Cheers Matt.

im thinking of cooper ATR's 245/75R16 LT which are 10mm smaller then what you had - i might have to get the speedo adjusted as
well ?

Nearly all speedos read faster than you are going, best way to
check correct speed is with a GPS. Our Wizard running 245/70 x16 is 100kph actually 96 kph. Our MU has Cooper 265/75 x16 STs the speedo 100kph actually 108kph all checked by my GPS, hope this helps.
Cheers Bruce.
