Hi All,
after a long time looking I've finally found a 3 Ltr T/D/Prado that I could afford {just} a 2002 model with 153 K's and full service history, a bit higher on the K's than I'd like but the best I could find in that range, it's bloody hard to find one at all !!!
anyhow I should be picking it up tommorow and was wondering if anyone knew a good Prado site Forum for info on said vehicle ?
thanks in advance,
Dave

www.pradopoint.com/

and the yahoo one at:

www.lcool.org/index.html

it says at the front its an 80 series site but you go further down and click where it says to do so and then finally you get to the pick of your model, veritable goldmine especially the technical files.

Good luck.

Good stuff Dave,

My last vehicle was a 2002 TD Prado - I got bored with it - because nothing goes wrong with them and it was too easy to drive and performed too well offroad :-))))

You'll enjoy it and those two Yahoo groups are good. But theres also plenty of Prado knowledge here as well.

Cheers
Phil

Dave if you don't mind me asking, what sort of dollars did you pay? Even a ballpark figure?

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi Mark,
good to hear from you, I ended up paying $28,000 cash from the dealer, it was up for $30,000 and I went in at less 10p/c {$27,000} but he all but laughed at me and reminded me he would'nt have any trouble selling it , which I knew to be true, you just dont see them aye ? any how as I said a bit higher in the K's than I wanted but still very happy, just sold my Patrol , good enough vehicle but insane on parts, I.E. fuel pump 5 grand, turbo 7 grand, and around 15 for an engine scared the bleep out of me, a good car but had a hilux before and that's where I wanted to go back to, anyway very happy with it and thats what counts aye ?
all the best mate, if you want a gab you can get me at danda367@hotmail.com
best regards,
Dave

Thanks for the offer Dave but I need to stick to the petrol, can't quite afford the diesel. you right there's not many around and their resale is awesome compared to anything else (except maybe diesel 80 series).

Hope you enjoy it, I'm still looking...

Mark.
