Does anyone know of a cheeper oil filter for 80 series diesel 1hz motor. I just did a oil & filter change the filter was Ryco Z334 @ $26.95. I thought some one got thers for about $10 diff brand!( WA) Thanks in advance, Rox.

Rox - if you're getting a Ryco Z334 for $26.95 then I'd stick with that. As a matter of interest they're closer to $50 where I come from which is why I changed. I believe the Z334 is the manufacturers choice although I could stand corrected on that as I haven't had my 80 since new.
I personally use the filtermate adaptor and a Z9 filter for under ten bucks and there are and will be many critics of this choice. Rightfully so too as we've all got differing opinions and situations. I also change my oil every 5K which is under 6 weeks and intend flicking the motor in the near future for something that would pull the skin off a rice pudding.
