Went down to Goodyear to get a price for tyres and was told about Wrangler SilentArmours, They claim the strongest all-terrian tyre??? They have the Durawall same as the MTR also got a Kevlar belt. Any
feedback on these tyres. There around the same price as MTR.

we are going to get 5 of them....just aving up at the mo........our local bridgestone tyre place tried to tell us they were crap compared to b/s and that we should use them....but then we found out that he isnt selling any b/s tyres of any kind and b/s are going to take the
shop off him!!
they are 10ply all round from memory...

We have been running B/S Desert duellers 750-16 on our Troopy since we bought it and have had 3 blow outs in the last 20,000km on tyres about 2/3 worn. The last one was definetely a tyre problem, not a tube due to vibrations before the tyre blew. The first 2, who knows. I will be changing from B/S to something else before the next trip.

Sorry, I can't answer your question but I too was going to buy a set of these for my Nav but somewhat reluctantly fitted a set of Bridgestone 694s as a compromise...sort of wish I hadn't of now.

I don't think you'll be sorry, I nearly purchased them myself but went the MT/R's in the end.

Nothing to
test them on there but it still sounds good to me anyway :)
Very happy with them so far, stick like glue to rocks and very good on the road, they seem a bit quite to me, would be happier with a bit more hum from them.
Haven't had them in mud but that doesn't worry me...damn stuff

Pyrenees would be better. Patrolman Pat has given me the names of a few good tracks to try.

I did the tracks in Lerderderg a couple of weeks ago all in 2 wheel drive apart from that little climb after the
creek crossing. Been a
grader operating there also. Found a few rutted areas in Wombat that had dried out for a bit of fun.

I cant help with your question but I run the MTR's on my Prado on 16 inch rims off road and love them. When the Grandtragics wear out I will probably put the silent armour on. Every set of good years I have had have been great right down to my old HX Premier which had Goodyear NCT Eagles. Best tyres ever.

A mate bought them for his 79series when they were released at the start of the year - he likes them much better than the ST Coopers he had before - very quiet and look the goods. Won't know what they are eally like for a couple of years!
Cheers
Phil
