More info please.petrol or diesel??
....if u can turn the centre bit but the outer where the belt runs wont turn, it is the bearing and you should be able to get one from a wrecker...as a unit...to get it appartm remove the bolt in the middle of the pulley, up front and then remove the clutch bit to show the circlip that holds the bearing....

Bearing from a wrecker...hmmmmmm.....
I wouldn't do that. They are cheap as for new ones from pretty well any bearing shop.

Hi,
I replaced my whole compressor for a 60 series for $150 from the wrecker. Came with a 3 month warranty; replace only. They have heaps to chose from and TOJO use similiar models across their car and 4WD range. Reconditioned shops do yours or swap for upwards of $600 to $800 and only a 12 month warranty. The new gas makes some of the old ones rattle.
For an 80 as well as a 60, some parts are becoming scarce.

its a diesel..

but while trying to remove it i took the circlip off and it was still jammed on so with a little prizing it eventualy came of.. however underneath all the burnt black very stinky gunk left was a second circlip... but alas it was to late.. as it busted of a part of the circlip retaining lip on the compressor.. doah...

so now im up for a compressor and no wreckers around us have any..

are any other models interchangeable... ?

My 60 had different takeoffs for the hoses but they can be replaced using yours and rotated to join up. The critical thing is to line up the belt pulley. At worst you will need a replacement hose to match up. I spent an hour or so raiding the racks at the wrecker and matching up in the engine bay. A Celica compressor was nearly identical so its not just an LC component. Email other wreckers nearby. Your model is not that old. The specialist 4WD wreckers will have something. Price is another thing.....
