I have just replaced the alloy bar on the prado with a steel one. As the warn has moved places going from being bolted down onto a steel bracket mounted between the chasis rails to now being bolted directly to the bar, the winch has rotated backwards 90 degrees.

In it self this is not a problem however now I can't turn the clutch handle to disengage it as it hits the radiator. I would like to know if I can take off the end plate that the clutch is on, rotate it 90 degrees and bolt it back on or is the positioning of it critical?

I have asked around my mates and had mixed reasponses.

Thanks in advance.

you can rotate it, has been done before, there was a post just recently that mentioned doing just that.
I've had my 12k apart and I marked the bits so as to put them back in the correct postion as it will fit in a few positions.
