For those not watching tv,miners still alive after 5 days!!

Yeah, as someone that has a close association with mining, it's great news. It's just a crying shame that all of 'em didn't get out alive.

Mining is a hard game.

they arent actually out yet.
You really have to feel for the family of the dead fella though, while all are celibrating, they are still mourning.

To those people-my families thoughts are with you guys.

Miracles do happen from time to time.

Having spent 4 hours once in my life not knowing whether my old man was dead or alive, I have an appreciation of how the families must have felt. I'm not sure I could have endured 5 days. Wicked stuff.

Don't get carried away just yet. Both the ABC and 9 newsreaders said they were alive but the guys on the spot said the company statement advised that "indications were they were alive".

Let's hope it's not a repeat of the reporting of an earlier mining disaster elsewhere in the world.

My wife's father died under similar conditions when she was 3. We are both praying that their families don't have to go through the same thing.
