G'Day All,
Sorry if this is a bit boring.
I have found that there is an ATM at the
Birdsville Pub.
Does anyone know if it is one of those cash-out only machines like in pokie venues, etc, or if it is a bank-type ATM where you can transfer between accounts, etc.
Just trying to put the finances in order before leaving on our trip

I cant help you much, havent been to
Birdsville since 98 but Im sure Ruth from the Caravan Park will pipe up & help you in that direction, she's never far away??
Id better poke my head in the door & say hello in june on our way over to the west as Im one of those members who does a lot of lookin, but not much talkin on the
forum???

PS I would say at a guess the ATM in pub would be just a cash-out job lousy bloody banks wouldnt put one there? Hope Roachie isnt around LOL.

Hello you lot - yes, you had better pop in and say hello!!!!
ATM just does cash out. If you bank Commonwealth you are able to go to the
Post Office Agency and do private (not business) banking. So suggest you organise things before coming to
Birdsville. You're right about banks - bloody Roachie - hope he is listening (haha - think he's away tho). We can't do any business banking in town at all.

Yes, Doug, they can do that but some people need to do more banking than that - shift money around etc., pay bills, etc.
and yes Doug, I did
check the query section - we've been sitting around the campfire at the front
gate.

There is an internet access in town, so if you want to transfer funds, pay bills through Netbank, etc. you should be able to do this in
Birdsville.
