I guess this item is not really 4x4 stuff but then I was out 4X4ing when I found it. I had no idea what it was for or what would have been in it until tonight, I found it on the internet so I thought i would share this bit of history , It was found near the Old
Cloncurry -
Camooweal road that was called the Smith Hwy and used by Cobb & Co. I am not sure sure what the site was but there was a lot of old tins rusting away and old broken crockery, I was told by the property owners that an army
camp was nearby during WWII but I think 1940s was much to late for this item so I feel It could have been the old Hotel site Trafalgar Springs as named in the Chubby Story I posted a couple weeks back and for those of you that missed it here is the link again members.westnet.com.au/dtilley/chubby.htm

As a folow up I read the web site for armorantiques and looks like it was from the 1940s
